The minute of meeting of this Committee of 13th June 2005 was held as read.

I SALE OF LAND

 

There was submitted Report No 220-2005 by the Chief Executive proposing new procedures for the sale of land.

 

The Committee agreed:-

 

(i) that no sales of land be carried out without a report being placed before Committee;

 

(ii)that all reports recommending a sale of land be accompanied with a scale plan to enable members to fully consider the proposal's merits;

 

(iii)that all applications to buy land be referred to the Economic Development Department for a valuation prior to their consideration by Committee;

 

(iv)that the valuation should be the best price in the prevailing circumstances;

 

(v)that sales of land should only be placed before Committee if the Director of the Department upon whose account the property lies and the Director of Economic Development recommend that the sale was financially beneficial to the Council.

 

II COMMUNITY REGENERATION FUND ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES 2005/06

 

There was submitted Report No 421-2005 by the Assistant Chief Executive (Community Planning) and Head of Communities detailing funding available to the Dundee Partnership for 2005/08.

The Committee noted the process for allocating funding through Local Community Regeneration forums as agreed by the Dundee Partnership and endorsed the funding proposals contained in Section 8 of the report subject to the allocations detailed in paragraph 8.1 being amended as follows:-

 

6,470 being amended to read 16,370. 349,149 being amended to read 349,249 and 746,995 being amended to read 747,095.
