II WARD 21 - TAY BRIDGES - DECLARATION OF POLL

It was reported that the result of the counting of votes for the election of a Councillor for Ward 21 - Tay Bridges on 30th August 2001 was as follows:-

and therefore, Fraser MacPherson had been duly appointed.

The Council noted accordingly.

III CIVIC PRIZE FOR ARCHITECTURE 2001

It was reported that the Civic Prize for Architecture had been awarded to Mr Sam Penn.

The Council noted accordingly.

III DUNDEE FESTIVAL TRUST

Reference was made to Article VIII 23 of the minute of meeting of the City Council of 13th May 1999.

It was reported that following the resignation of Councillor Luke from the Council, a vacancy on the above Trust fell to be considered. In addition, following the appointment of Lord Provost Letford the position previously occupied by him on the Trust, in his own right, also fell to be considered.

The Council agreed to appoint Councillors Farquhar and de Gernier.

The Lord Provost agreed that the undernoted item be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No 17(B) in view of the timescales involved.

IV VOLUNTARY SECTOR LIAISON GROUP

Reference was made to Article II of the minute of meeting of the Policy and Resources Committee of 8th January 2001.

The Council agreed that the Voluntary Sector Liaison Group should include the Lord Provost (Chair), together with the Conveners of the Social Work, Neighbourhood Resources and Development, Equality Action and Housing Committees, together with their counterparts from the Major Opposition Group and the Minority Opposition Group.
