Digitising the Canna Archive
The Margaret Fay Shaw photographic collection, consisting of over 6000 photographs and negatives, offers a unique view of Hebridean life and Gaelic culture across the twentieth century. Margaret was a Gaelic folklorist who lived for much of her life on the Isle of Canna, recording the people and places close to her heart. Find out how the National Trust for Scotland's Morton Photography Project is working to fully digitise and document these images, and how digital technology can be used to preserve heritage for future generations.
